The Pokémon League Elite Four
The Pokémon League awaits

Before You Challenge

⚠️ Know before you go

  • Teams sit at level 74–76 — train your team to at least the mid-70s.
  • Every Elite Four member heals with Full Restores when a Pokémon is close to fainting — finish weakened Pokémon quickly.
  • Each room has a battlefield effect that helps the Elite Four member. Read each section below.
  • You fight them back to back — bring plenty of healing items and a well-rounded team.
ELITE FOUR · 1ST MEMBER · GROUND

Moleman

Battlefield: a vicious sandstorm rages the whole fight — it chips non-Rock, Ground and Steel-types every turn. Format: double battle. Healing: 2 Full Restores.

PokémonLevelTypeKey moves
Excadrill74Ground / SteelEarthquake, Iron Head, Rock Slide
Flygon76Ground / DragonEarth Power, Dragon Pulse (Ground Gem)
Sandslash76GroundEarthquake, Rock Slide, Leech Fang
Quagsire74Water / GroundMuddy Water, Recover, Yawn (Sitrus Berry)
Gliscor75Ground / FlyingEarthquake, Acrobatics, Roost
  • Water and Grass hit almost everything here. Quagsire is 4x weak to Grass.
  • Ice destroys Flygon (4x) and Gliscor (4x) — one Ice-type sweeps half his team.
  • It’s a double battle: spread moves like Surf and Earthquake hit both opponents at once.
  • Rock, Ground and Steel-types ignore the sandstorm chip damage.
ELITE FOUR · 2ND MEMBER · GHOST

Elias

Battlefield: a shadowy veil covers the field. Healing: 1 Full Restore.

PokémonLevelTypeKey moves
Mimikyu74Ghost / FairyShadow Claw, Play Rough, Swords Dance
Aegislash75Steel / GhostShadow Claw, Sacred Sword, King’s Shield
Trevenant75Ghost / GrassPoltergeist, Horn Leech, Will-O-Wisp (Sitrus Berry)
Chandelure76Ghost / FireShadow Ball, Flamethrower, Calm Mind
Mega Banette76GhostPoltergeist, Sucker Punch, Will-O-Wisp (Banettite)
  • Dark-types are your best friends — immune to Ghost and super-effective back. Mega Banette is only weak to Dark.
  • Break Mimikyu’s disguise with a weak hit first, then finish it.
  • Watch for Will-O-Wisp burns on your physical attackers — bring a Lum Berry or two.
  • King’s Shield on Aegislash punishes contact moves — use special attacks against it.
ELITE FOUR · 3RD MEMBER · FAIRY

Arabella

Battlefield: permanent misty terrain — status conditions don’t work on grounded Pokémon, and Dragon moves are weakened. Healing: 2 Full Restores.

PokémonLevelTypeKey moves
Ribombee75Bug / FairyMoonblast, Sticky Web (Focus Sash)
Sylveon75FairyMoonblast, Calm Mind
Togekiss75Fairy / FlyingAir Slash, Moonblast, Aura Sphere
Azumarill76Water / FairyPlay Rough, Aqua Jet, Superpower
Mega Mawile76Steel / FairyPlay Rough, Iron Head, Swords Dance (Mawilite)
  • Poison and Steel moves — nearly her whole team is weak to one or both.
  • Mega Mawile is the danger: huge attack after Swords Dance. Hit it with Ground or Fire before it sets up.
  • Misty terrain blocks status moves — don’t rely on burns or paralysis here; just hit hard.
  • Azumarill’s Aqua Jet picks off weakened Pokémon — keep your HP healthy.
ELITE FOUR · 4TH MEMBER · DRAGON

Penny

Battlefield: a double rainbow lights up the arena. Healing: 2 Full Restores.

PokémonLevelTypeKey moves
Goodra74DragonMuddy Water, Thunderbolt
Tyrantrum75Rock / DragonDragon Claw, Head Smash, Crunch
Kommo-o75Dragon / FightingClanging Scales, Aura Sphere
Hydreigon76Dark / DragonDark Pulse, Charge Beam (Roseli Berry)
Mega Sceptile76Grass / DragonDragon Pulse, Giga Drain (Sceptilite)
  • Fairy-types dominate here — Hydreigon takes 4x from Fairy, and most of the team is weak to it.
  • Ice is the other answer: 4x on Mega Sceptile, 2x on almost everything else.
  • Tyrantrum’s Head Smash hits brutally hard but damages itself — you can sometimes let it KO itself.
  • Don’t let Kommo-o set up — hit it fast and hard.
CHAMPION · FINAL BATTLE

Rival Jax

Your rival stands between you and the title. Format: double battle. Healing: 3 Full Restores, the most of anyone here.

Pyroar76Fire / NormalHeat Wave, Hyper Voice (Fire Gem)
Staraptor75Normal / FlyingBrave Bird, Close Combat, U-turn (Eject Pack)
  • Mega Salamence is the biggest threat — 4x weak to Ice. One Ice Beam or Icicle Crash usually ends it.
  • Hitmontop’s Fake Out flinches one of your Pokémon turn one — protect or switch to waste it.
  • Magnezone’s Air Balloon makes it immune to Ground until popped — hit it with Fire or Fighting instead.
  • With 3 Full Restores, this can be a long fight. Manage your healing items carefully and avoid unnecessary risks.
